Karaba's portrait by AalienoOr Karaba's portrait by AalienoOr
Still Karaba, still from Kirikou and the Sorceress.
I have to say something...I saw this movie very young and her naked breast never disturbed me ! In the context it's not shocking. Am I the only one thinking that ?

When I was young I found her terrible.
Now I find her amazing, the way she moves, her look, her hair and jewels, her beautiful skirt with all that patterns... Everything in her is beautiful, impressive, elegant, and... still terrible xD

==========================================

Toujours Karaba, toujours de Kirikou et la Sorcière.
J'ai vu ce film très tôt et sa poitrine nue ne m'a jamais perturbée. Dans le contexte ça n'a rien de choquant. Je suis la seule à penser ça ?

Quand j'étais petite, elle me terrifiait. Aujourd'hui, je la trouve incroyable ! La manière dont elle bouge, son allure, sa coiffure, ses bijoux et ce superbe pagne avec tous les motifs...Tout en elle est beau, impressionnant, élégant... mais toujours effrayant ^^

Out of curiosity, have you ever seen "Gandahar", by Rene Laloux? That's one French animated movie that I know got U.S. release, even if it was terribly butchered in the process. I saw it as a child, and it was re-titled "Light Years" (I have no idea why). I finally saw it in its original language a few years ago, with subtitles. What a difference! The dialogue wasn't really different, but the music...! What a change in atmosphere, mood, and the "feel" of film can go through if someone tampers with the score.

I guess that film's heroine, Airelle, wouldn't fit in any particular hair colored group, because she has blue hair ^ ^.

I didn't include Gandahar and Airelle in my project because the universe of Gandahar is SciFi and... that's not my cup of tea :P (Atlantis is also SciFi but... more fantasy than SciFi... I guess :P) And I don't love Gandahar at all. It has qualities but it's so boooring -_- This movie has no rhythm -_-...

True enough (re: Gandahar is more Science Fiction and less fantasy). To each her own. ^ ^;

She looks so serene here (not just beautiful). It must be because she's free of pain in this picture, since her eyes are clear.

Yes ^^, for my project I've decided to draw only good heroines, so I drew Karaba when she was in peace. She's even more beautiful like that... With her deep brown eyes.
